Barbara Kaczyńska – Art Director of the Festival announces the Festival highlights

For the third time, we are pleased to invite you to the “Beats of Cochlea” International Music Festival for Children, Youth and Adults with Hearing Impairment. This time it will be held within the area of the Scientific and Medical Park in Kajetany. This year the Festival has a new formula. In previous editions, the Festival jurors emphasized the high artistic level of the participants and their unique musical sensitivity. In order to spend the time together even more creatively, all artists will participate in workshops, develop their talents under the guidance of prominent and recognized Masters of music and during accompanying concerts. Each participant’s performance will be accompanied by an orchestra and choir.

Within the framework of the Festival, we are planning joint concerts of the participants and Masters to be staged each evening. The music frame of all concerts will be ensured by the PROFORMA vocal ensemble and the DIVERTIMENTO Youth Chamber Orchestra, to be conducted by Elżbieta Ostrowska during the accompanying concerts, and during the gala concert by Prof. Krzesimir Dębski. Artists will present movie themes and works of classical music to the audience .

The program includes:

  • master classes,
  • concert entitled “Children’s Symphony of Hearing” – the youngest participants of the Festival, accompanied by professional musicians, will present musical themes from various films and fairytales,
  • accompanying concert “Musical ear dizziness, or contemporary classics”,
  • accompanying concert “Free the music in the ear” – festival duos, students will perform with the Masters and laureates of previous editions of the Festival,
  • gala concert – performance by the participants selected by the Masters, special guests and the Masters who conducted the workshops.

All participants will also appear on stage together. The beautiful culmination of the Festival will be the joint performance of the hymn “The World I hear” by the participants together with the soloists, choir and the orchestra.
