Prof. Ryszard Karczykowski
Master of singers and vocalists
One of the most outstanding Polish opera singers. He began his career in Germany in 1969. A spectacular performance in G. Verdi’s Traviata at the Aix-en-Provence Festival in 1976 and his debut in the London Covent Garden opera in 1977 opened the way for his international career. Since then he has been performing on the world’s largest scenes. He has numerous radio and television recordings and many CD recordings with the best orchestras and prominent conductors for labels such as Denon, Decca, Camerata, BBC, OR F, RAI, ZDF, Polskie Nagrania and others. His repertoire includes operas, operettas, oratories, sacral music and songs. In 1982 he also started working as a pedagogue. He is full professor at the Voice and Drama Faculty of the Academy of Music in Cracow and the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music. He conducts masterclasses in many countries.
For his artistic activity Prof. Karczykowski received many awards.
