Uczestnicy

Nurbol Seydulla

11 years, Kazakhstan, dombra

A deep bilateral hearing loss was detected when Nurbol was 3 years old. First, he wore hearing aids, but at the age of 5 he was implanted with a cochlear implant. A month after implantation, he began intensive hearing rehabilitation. The boy became interested in music at the age of 8, when the teacher advised him to start the music therapy. Together they chose to play the Kazakh national stringed instrument - dombra.

Nurbol participated in many competitions and festivals. In 2016 he took part in the "Beats of Cochlea" Festival and performed on the Gala Concert. In Autumn 2018 he got to the finals of the "Magic Symphony" Festival in St. Petersburg and performed with the Biscuit ensemble. Music is an important part of his life, it calms him when he is upset and cheers him up when he is sad. Nurbol is very happy about how implant is working for him. Thanks to this he can hear, talk, and play the instrument. He has an amazing sense of rhythm and he enjoys listening to music.
